Amanda Sandos and Andi Miller
Amanda Sandos is a graduate student at Goddard College working on a degree in interdisciplinary environmental art. She is a believer in the concept of Deep Ecology and strives to create art which promotes the idea that we are all animals, more like the other species on this planet than we may know, and just as reliant upon the environment's health for our survival. A former zookeeper of twenty years, Amanda now works as a freelance artists, writer, and professional pet sitter. She has shown her work in a number of national juried shows, and received several awards including The Academy of Women's "Woman of the Year" award in the category of the arts 2010 and second place for photography in The National Women's Art Show 2008. She is currently accepting commissions for pet portraits. She works in a number of media including oil, watercolor, pastel, and photography.
